Nolte Precise Manufacturing is proud to announce that Bob Coster is the 2012 Frank T. McGinnis Merit Award recipient. This award, presented by the Precision Machined Products Association (PMPA), is the Association’s highest award, conferred only upon recommendation of the Executive Committee. Since 1943, the Merit Award has been presented to an honored PMPA member in recognition of contributions and continued service that extends above and beyond the duties of any appointed or elected association office. The Frank T. McGinnis Merit Award is not given every year but only presented when an individual has clearly met the award requirements with continued service for the benefit of PMPA and the precision machined products industry.
Mr. Coster has been a very dedicated PMPA member over the years, having served on several of the Association’s Committees, including the Management Update Committee from 1982 to 2010 (Conference Chairman in 1987), the Training Committee (Chairman from 1996-2003), Human Resources Committee, the Technical Program Committee (Chairman in 1979), as well as the Membership Committee (acting as its Chairman from 1995 to 2001). He was also a founding member of the Precision Machining Technology Show (PMTS) Committee in 2001, serving as Chairman from 2006-2007, and remaining active until 2011. He served two terms on the PMPA Board of Directors (1986-1989 and 2007-2010) and has been through the officer chairs in the Southern Ohio/Southern Indiana Chapter. He is currently serving on the Finance Committee.
In 2003, Mr. Coster was presented with PMPA’s prestigious Gold Micrometer Award, signifying 40 years in the precision machining industry. He began attending PMPA National meetings in 1970 – the 2012 Annual Meeting marked the 88th PMPA meeting he has attended!
Bob Coster has spent his entire career building the family business, Nolte Precise Manufacturing, Inc. He refers to his first role as that of “general flunky” from which he went on to become an Estimator, a Set-up Operator, Manager, President/Owner, and finally, Chief Executive Officer. Outside of PMPA, Mr. Coster has been an active member of his church, serving and chairing on numerous committees. He is a 48-year member of the Masons, where he served as Master five times.
We are please to congratulate Bob Coster on his successful career and on earning this significant industry achievement.
